~I received 4 New Board Books From Appleseed for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
With my third and final baby girl on the way I have thoroughly enjoyed getting her bookshelf ready with tons of board books. Board books are great because they are short, sturdy and ones she can play with without destroying. Here are 4 New Board Books From Appleseed that are particularly cute!
Deep in the forest, early in the morning, the animals slowly wake—except the panda, who is sleeping in. The monkey stretches, the red ant hides, the black bear yawns, and the gazelle smiles. But where is the okapi? Can you find it?
Over 50 animals—including the okapi—hide on the pages of this beautiful board book. The gorgeous forest scenes take readers from morning to night, from high in the trees to deep underground. Deep in the Forest is as much a visual treat as it is an introduction to exotic animals.
Deep in the Forest is much larger than your typical board book in length and width. It is a colorful adventure through the forest and the extra fun part is the “lift-flap” hidden on page layouts. This book is truly a visual treat.
This lovely book illuminates all the possibilities a day offers—the opportunities and chances that won’t ever come again—and also delivers a gentle message of good stewardship of our planet. Newbery Medal winner Cynthia Rylant’s poetic text, alongside Nikki McClure’s stunning, meticulously crafted cut-paper art, makes this book not only timeless but appealing to all ages, from one to one hundred.
All in Day is a book gently reminding us all that we should enjoy every single day we have as it offers many possibilities and it is up to us to make it count. Simple illustrations accompany this book that teaches a life lesson even adults need to know.
High feet, slow feet, fast feet, snow feet! So Many Feet introduces young children to the great diversity in the natural world, using feet as an accessible point of entry. The playful, rhyming main text offers some information, but is mostly fun to read aloud. The secondary text offers more facts about each animal and what makes its feet so unique. The book ends by asking children whether their feet can do all the things animals’ feet can do.
So Many Feet is a book all about the feet of different animals. Some feet are for climbing and others for digging but all are interesting. My 5 year old even loves me reading this book!
Charlie loves things that go—planes, trains, bicycles, scooters, and even spaceships! He also loves to share in the fun of each mode of transportation with his dad. But, for Charlie, the best ride of all is when his dad swoops him up onto his shoulders for a piggyback ride! The first in a fresh, new board-book series takes the evergreen concept of transportation and gives it a tender, loving twist. Perfect for new dads and Father’s Day promotions, Charlie Rides captures a child’s love for transportation while also affirming that the quality time shared between father and son is what means the most.
Charlie Rides is a book all about an adventurous book named Charlie that likes to ride on everything from bikes to trains and more! Most little ones can certainly relate to having fun on things that go!
These 4 New Board Books From Appleseed are great for any toddler’s bookshelf! Board books get even the littlest of readers interested in reading and they are built kid tough!
