Since I was a child, I have been hand-drawing birthday and Christmas cards and never took my art very seriously. However, in 2004 our friends and family encouraged my husband and me to turn my doodles into a business of selling cards.I remember lying in bed one night laughing with my husband about the idea. Would people really want to buy my artwork? I haven’t studied art my whole life and I don’t have an art degree. I was just a mom to two sweet girls who loved to draw.
Amy Adele’s Children’s Stationary is beautiful. There are so many cute designs for children and the ideas she had come up with for the personalized calling cards are amazing. I would have never thought to have a card for my son when he would go away for vacations and meet new friends so that they might keep in touch. I remember the many years ago when I had went to camp and met so many great friends only to lose them when the summer was over. Now he could have little cards in his wallet just in case and also my little one when he gets just a tad bit older, for his playgroups and soon to come preschool. I was pretty amazed and spent a lot of time looking over all the details of the calling cards, which are drawn very well in a up-beat cute fashion to the more business appearance. They’re not only for children, there are grownups and even teen calling cards!
I decided to do something a little different though. I had this idea when I had seen that the calling cards could also be used for gift tags (excellent idea!). I decided to make little children’s Thank You notes. My niece’s birthday is coming up and she is turning 2, the theme is butterflies and I had seen the perfect card, Kate’s Pink Butterfly! So I made little Thank You cards, which came with small envelopes, from my niece Gabby.
You could punch holes in the corners of the cards and tie them with ribbons to cute handmade tulle bags for the kids that come to the party. Or leave them on the table with each person’s name in a bowl of Hershey Kisses. Or you could make your own idea and tie them with ribbons to flowers and give them during a special occasion! There are so many fantastic ideas to use these personalized calling cards for and the designs are so lovely that it almost seems impossible to not find something that fits perfectly for your child, yourself or your special event.
Amy Adele also has stationary, invitations, announcements, labels and gifts! You could do a little of each and make a beautiful stationary kit for a daughter for school, just something special as she heads off to another year. Or help your son make cards for his sports team so that everyone can keep in contact! Amy Adele is made my a Mom and she knows how important the little things are and that’s what makes this entire store so amazing, it’s all in the details that she drew so beautifully for everyone who happens by.
You can buy your own Kate’s Pink Butterfly Cards 20 for $14.80.
