My son started his first year of pre-school at the beginning of the month. We sent him off to school in style with his backpack and his dump truck lunchbox, but one thing you don’t ever want to forget when sending a child to school is labels.
Many years ago when my eldest went to Kindergarten for the first time, I sent him to school with a very nice jacket. Then a week later, the jacket was gone. I sent him to school with another jacket and again… gone. He had a tendency to lose everything in fact, I can’t remember how many items I replaced in that first year alone, but I learned! I’m a little smarter now. I make sure that they’re names are on absolutely everything and also in inconspicuous places.
My tot has labels in various areas, just in case someone takes one off. Mabel’s Labels offers a variety of different labels that you can choose from, plus the design on each. I went with dinosaurs! His little name tag has dinosaur prints and there is one connected to his backpack and another on the zipper of his lunch-bag. On the outside tag I placed a label with his name and then on the inside tag as well.
We made little license plates on his dump truck lunch-box!
One of the things that impressed me the most about Mabel’s Labels is their packaging. It comes in a hard box that slides out, the labels are together in a booklet and bound in pink tissue paper. They’re extremely professional and organized; the hard box allows me to place the labels with my supplies here at home without getting them lost. I’ve had labels before where they came in a booklet and were easily just placed with papers and tucked away, I couldn’t tell you were they are now! I admit, I’m not as organized as professional label-er but this box is easy to find, easy to locate when necessary and would be hard to lost even for the most disorganized parent!
I received The Ultimate Back to School Combo, which has everything you need to prepare for the first day of school! Labels for shoes, notebooks, backpacks, jackets and even pencils! The labels for the clothing and shoes are not only waterproof, but UV resistant!
You can also get Tween Packs, which offer more diversity for Tweens/Teens since their back-to-school lists are different from Pre-school and Kindergarten.
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Global Influence Network for Mabel’s Labels and received a product for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions are my own and/or my families and are not influenced by any form of compensation.
