~I received BeadforLife samples for the purpose of reviewing and promoting. Opinions and stories are my own.~
With Mother’s Day fast approaching I want to Introduce you to a NEW concept for Mothers’ Day – throw a party with a purpose! BeadforLife is a non-profit organization empowering women to change their lives. They first teach them to earn income by rolling beads from recycled paper to create beautiful jewelry. They are simultaneously given business training so they can launch their own business (whatever they dream of: a salon, restaurant, retail store) after they graduate. By throwing a Mother’s Day Party, people can shop for amazing gift items while having fun crafting with their NEW DIY craft sheet, create a gourmet recipe for the party and more.
BeadforLife has created a special way to celebrate the mothers in your life and help moms in Uganda working to rise from poverty. It’s a chance to honor moms and friends, find one-of-a-kind gifts from their exclusive new collection and empower moms in Uganda to provide for their families.
The NEW Mother’s Day Party is overflowing with many new items handcrafted with love! In addition to vibrant paper bead jewelry items, the Mother’s Day Party includes:
- NEW Tendo line of necklaces and bracelets
- NEW Shea Nilotica Tubes – 100% East African Shea Butter
- Newly packaged Loose Beads, along with fun DIY craft projects
- NEW Akora Bags in bright, poppy fabrics
- Hand-tailored fabric jewelry bags
- Kibbo Baskets woven with hopes and dreams
- 10 Mother’s Day cards to share with moms who inspire
I can honestly say that the jewelry and other items look even more vibrant in person. I can tell someone took their time to make sure the items were made with love and care.
Whenever I wear these items out I find myself constantly getting compliments on them. I then tell them quickly about BeadforLife and if they seem interested (which they usually are) I explain a little bit about the company. Most seem to genuinely love the concept behind it.
I sat down and told my oldest daughter all about BeadforLife and how important it is to help out other people and then I showed her where Uganda was on a map. It was a great learning moment for her and one I hope she takes to heart.
You can check out inspiring stories and photos on their website so you can see exactly who is being helped by purchasing these handmade gifts. My new tote goes with me everywhere. It is roomy enough for diapers, wipes, wallet and more.
I love the idea of buying items that help out others. Women are going to buy jewelry and other little gift items anyway so why not purchase from a company that is giving back. Host your own Mother’s Day BeadforLife party and enjoy some good company with friends and family while buying some items to help out people that really need it on the other side of the globe.
