~I received a VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Set for review (though I purchased an extra car). Opinions and stories are my own.~
A few weeks ago Tot and I got the chance to review the VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels line; specifically the Tow & Teach Garage. The garage is interactive and has a spiral ramp, gas station, traffic stop, elevator, parking pad and helicopter landing pad that provides pretend-play with learning elements. The Tow & Teach Garage includes the Tow Truck (Tommy) that also lights up and talks. Though in the photos you will see the Ambulance (Al) because Judah’s big brother gave it to him for his birthday and he hasn’t let go of it since.
Tot was glued to the Tow & Teach Garage from the very moment he opened the box, completely memorized honestly! He loved how both the garage and the little Tow Truck talked to him and had different things to say depending on what he was doing in the Garage. It’s really neat how the little SmartPoint vehicles work! There are different little buttons that are pushed on the bottom depending on where they are located. Here’s an example.
This marks a stop between the elevator and the ramp where cars have to wait until the cross bar is lifted. You can see the yellow button which triggers the white pieces to push up to interact with the car.
These are the little red buttons on the bottom of the car. When pushed in certain patterns, the vehicle will say different things. So all along the Tow & Teach Garage are spots where there are ridges that push different buttons on the vehicles so they can teach the children about different things.
Children can choose between lessons and music. There are also three bright buttons that show the different weather conditions at the Tow Station, along with teaching the weather it also teaches about colors and vehicles! Judah loves when it asks him what the weather is outside and he runs to the window to see and let his “friends” Al (Ambulance) and Tommy (Tow Truck) know.
The Tow & Teach Garage recognizes six other vehicles, other than the one that is included. The songs that the vehicles and the Garage sing really get stuck in your head. One is stuck in my head right now! They’re really cute in the way they teach children what their purpose is. Such as, Al the Ambulance is always in a hurry to the hospital.
Some additional toy sets that are available are the Firestation, 2-in-1 Race Track, Construction, Train Station, Car Carrier and Airport! Though next in line for Tot is the Helicopter for his Helicopter pad on the Garage. But the really amazing thing about all the sets is that they can all connect together!
This is definitely a set you want to keep in mind for the up-coming holiday shopping. It has all the beautiful colors, lights and sounds wrapped into an adorable educational toy for tots. You can learn more about the Go! Go! Smart Wheels collection on VTech.
Purchase: Something neat that I’ve rarely ever seen is that you can actually customize your bundle playset by choosing which set you want and then what vehicles you want with it!
