~I am a Fox Home Entertainment Insider. I received a copy of Strawberry Shortcake Berry Big Help for review. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Strawberry Shortcake has a new DVD that was released last week that includes 3 episodes that teach children about helping each other and lending a hand to others.
In Babysitter Blues Strawberry agrees to babysit Berrykin which turns into a handful since he has magical powers. In this story it teaches children that although they can do things, it doesn’t mean they should do things; the lesson we all learn about thinking before acting.
A Stitch in Time is about Raspberry and how she wants to make a dress for Strawberry, but she’s having trouble. The other girls want to help out, but wind up making it for her so she can get some rest and lying about it. It teaches about the right kinds of help and how being honest is important, even when you have the best intentions.
Fish Out of Water is about Orange Blossoms new pet that she had found at a pond. Without thinking much about it, she decides to take him home. Unfortunately, her new pet keeps growing and starts bothering all the neighbors. To top it off, it doesn’t seem like he’s happy at all. This episode is about responsibility and thoughtfulness of others, even those feelings of your pets.
