~I received Busy People: Librarian for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Celebrate your local library! Librarian takes kids through all the fun, exciting, and unique things that happen at the library every day.
This uniquely illustrated childrens’ storybook will take kids on a tour of what exciting activities are happening at their local libraries. This light and easy to read narrative focuses on Rita, a busy librarian as she helps children find books they like, reads during story time, and even throws a party.
After the story has ended, we have included prompts for further discussion on librarians, their role, and what to do in a library. These dicussions will not only develop vocabulary in small children, but encourage an appreciation of their local library.

In this book the library is celebrating a birthday and there is a big party! One little boy is nervous about coming inside but Rita the librarian is so friendly and gets the boy to come in and listen to story time. After several books he is still not happy. Rita learns he likes books on rockets so she finds him the perfect book! The boy learns so much and even decides to check out several books on his favorite subject. I might like this book more than both my girls but they do really enjoy seeing what my former career entailed. A great book to teach little ones about the duties of a librarian.
