~I received Coloring Flower Mandalas for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Every since I was a young child I have always enjoyed coloring and both my girls could color all day long if I let them. I have never been much of an artist whereas my people look like stick figures so I much prefer to color in something pre-designed. I have spent countless hours coloring in my daughters’ coloring books but I will admit that gets old quick. Now there are actual coloring books for adults and they are some of the coolest things I have ever seen! Following the success of last year’s “Coloring Animal Mandalas” comes “Coloring Flower Mandalas,” a new book featuring 30 beautifully hand-drawn designs for mindful relaxation. If you have never tried it then you absolutely should! When things get hectic and I start to yell I like to say “coloring break” and we all get into different areas and just color. I much prefer coloring in this book over a child’s book. The intricate designs are mesmerizing!
Mandalas is the Sanskrit word for “circle” (I certainly had no idea so don’t feel bad if you didn’t know either) and has been used for meditation and healing for thousands of years.
“Coloring Flower Mandalas” is illustrated by the talented Wendy Piersall and she clearly adds the beauty of inspiring blooms—including orchids, roses, lilies, poppies, sunflowers and more—into these gorgeous designs for page after page of coloring book bliss.

Relax, focus, reach a higher state of mindfulness and simply enjoy yourself as you artfully bring these blooms to life. I really do feel calmer after coloring. I will admit to being stingy and not sharing this coloring book with my girls…for once this one is all mine!
