It seems like quite awhile ago since we had gotten my teen his Walmart Family Mobile phone to offer him more of a direct connection with family and friends. Since then, even my BFF changed from her old Walmart plan to Family Mobile for the better deals it offered, the Unlimited Talk Text and Data/Web and the upgrade on the smartphone!
From the first contact in setting up the phone to now, there has been nothing but wonderful customer service and connection (this includes data speed!). Sometimes I wish that Walmart Family Mobile could motivate my teen to do his chores as much as it has done in motivating him to connect with people!
Maybe they should put that on an upgrade.
Since it is that time of year to start thinking about Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Graduation time, it also brings about the idea for gifts. One thing we always say to ourselves when we think about our parents or kids that are moving on towards adulthood is that we should call more, text more, let them know we love them just a little bit more. So when given the chance from #CollectiveBias to share our current experience with Walmart Family Mobile and how we thought they’d make great gifts for parents and graduating children, I accepted. There is nothing more important to me and I’m sure to all of you, than family. This is just one more way of finding time to re-connect with those special to us.
One of the people I immediately thought could benefit from Walmart Family Mobile during this time (and also had a duh! moment when realization hit) was my husband. He’s always, always, always complaining about a) his phone and b) how much we’re paying on our bill. I don’t know why it never occurred to me that we could easily just merge every one of us on a Walmart Family Mobile plan, but it has been a busy beginning to the year and at least I figured it out halfway through!
You see, additional lines are $5 cheaper than the regular plan up to a Maximum of 5 lines. This means I could get my husband on the family plan for $34.88mo with Unlimited Talk/Text/Web and I don’t know if I want to admit how much that would actually save in comparison to his current plan. Let’s just say if we both got on at that price we’d still be under 1/2 our current bill.
Saving money is always a great gift for husbands; especially those with wives who like to shop!
I was really excited to see the Apple iPhone 5 was available on the Walmart Family Mobile plan! My husband always wanted an iPhone and with his Birthday and Father’s Day only being a month apart I’m really tempted to splurge on the phone whilst saving on our monthly plan! It’s a win/win scenario.
Some things I really like about the Walmart Family Mobile plan over others is:
- They have the lowest priced Unlimited Plans
- Great Coverage Area (Powered by T-mobile, my favorite!)
- Great deals on Smartphones without contracts
- No hidden start-up fees.
I know Mother’s Day is just a week away, but you have time to save up for Father’s Day and Graduation gifts. For Dad, it’s a great way to show him that you want to connect; especially if it’s from the kids because sometimes Dad’s feel a little outside the box. For Graduating kids (can we call them kids? sniff sniff) it is a gift that says that no matter where they go or how far they get in life that they’re only a phone call away.
