I must warn you, these cookie dough brownies are highly addictive and amazingly delicious!!
I first had these at a friend’s house and begged her for the recipe, but I tweaked it a little to fit my taste buds.
We used box brownie mix because for one, it’s way easier with two little ones and two, I didn’t have the right ingredients to make them from scratch. They tasted just the same using box brownies so do not worry! The best part about these is that there are no eggs in the cookie dough so you don’t have to worry about eating the cookie dough! Not like that ever stopped me!
Start by preparing brownies according to package and bake as directed. Allow to cool completely.
Once brownies have thoroughly cooled prepare cookie dough.
You will need:
- 3 Sticks butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 Cups brown sugar
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- 9 Tbls Milk
- 3 Cups Flour
- 1 1/2 Cups Mini Chocolate Chips
Mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Tip: Be sure to allow butter to completely soften, I didn’t wanna wait and it was a pain to mix! Mix in milk. With mixer on low add in flour and mix well. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
Once brownies are cool, spread cookie dough onto brownies. Set in fridge so cookie dough will firm up. Half hour to an hour is good.
Cut and serve. A little trick I learned- use a pizza cutter to cut the brownies! Cookie dough does not need to be refrigerated since it has no eggs in it. I LOVE cookie dough and so do my kids so these were a big hit in my house! Now what are you waiting for? Go try them for yourselves!!
