~I received a Cooper & Kid Kit to facilitate this review. Opinions and stories are my own. Also it was awesome.~
I don’t even know where to begin about the Cooper & Kid kits! Everything from the story behind them to the kit itself is completely amazing. I absolutely loved
sneaking off and playing with it reviewing it and it is my super top pick for Father’s day and gifts for dads just because they are awesome. Let’s check it out!
The Cooper Kit is a box like no other box. It could include just about anything you can imagine or maybe not imagine. There are multiple products and activities inside designed for enriching quality time with your children. Even the box itself turns into a toy! Inside you will find an activity book that guides you through the theme of your box, a bedtime story and more.
We received the Stack & Smash Cooper Kit. The story for our kit revolved around two warring clans, Pigs vs. Wolves. The kit included:
- Two Flags with markers so you could make your own rallying flag.
- Two cubes to make your own dice.
- The Pig Popper with little green balls in a mesh bag.
- A big bag of castle-themed real wooden blocks!
- The activity book with the wolf mask craft inside.
- Glue to help with your projects.
- The bedtime story “The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig”.
- And the box of the kit (and a small box of parts in the kit) turned into a battering ram!
Of course the moment it came in, Tot just wanted to build and smash down castles. We have yet to get to coloring anything, but despite that it’s been hours of fun! Maybe he just wants everyone on the same team smashing the castle.
One of my favorite things was that the blocks were real wood and all the pieces were of exceptional quality. The activity kit was very clear on how to do the projects and offered multiple other ways to play as well! We had a lot of fun with the idea of a Big Bad Pig instead of a wolf and Tot loved the twist in the story. It was really unique.
I loved that the kit included a bedtime story. One of my fondest memories is of my father reading to me at night and Cooper & Kid didn’t miss a beat with what makes the moments between a father and their child special.
Tot and his Dad each take turns building castles and smashing them. I got to help build the battering ram because I couldn’t stand not being a part of all the cool things going on! I know, I know… it’s supposed to be about fatherhood, but let’s get real. Everyone turned my house into this giant playhouse and if I have to clean the craziness, I am going to play with the toys in it!
Anyway. I think we all did a great job building the battering ram together; especially since it was considered one of the harder projects to do. Eventually we will get around to coloring our flags and such, but for now Tot is just content playing as it is and so are we. The kit is for Dads with kids aged 5-9 and comes as a quarterly subscription or yearly subscription where you receive 1 Kit every 3 months. So if you are in love with these kits just as much as I am, I’d hurry up and snag one for your favorite Dad. Trust me, he is going to LOVE playing with it
and so will you!
