Although Mixbook is quite famous for their photobooks (which are absolutely amazing!), I had never used them until this review. I was actually unaware that they had personal and custom invitations / announcements. I had assumed at best there would be a card and you’d put your name in a section and viola, you were finished, boy was I surprised! You can actually create the entire card, with their amazing graphics, decals and varied fonts! You could even change one of their cards designs to fit what you want! I was incredibly amazed. So that is what I did! I set to work and created my niece’s birthday cards. I’ve been in charge of doing the invitations, Thank yous and updates for my Mother who takes care of her. Her theme this year was butterflies and when it dawned on me that I could take things into my own hands with Mixbook… I created the most beautiful card for her
The actual card was of Ladybugs and I loved the concept but needed butterflies, so I easily deleted the Ladybugs and drag & dropped butterflies in their place; only having to adjust their direction. On the back of the card there is another fluttering butterfly thanking everyone for coming.

After making this card I wished that I had found Mixbook years ago when I was getting married and couldn’t decide on cards so I wound up paying a fortune for ones that weren’t very personal. With Mixbook you could customize your own photo cards, your own decals or use theirs and change everything about it to fit you. This is why I will be using Mixbook in the future for my christmas cards. Especially the ones to my parents, to whom cards never do justice.
Play around with their card maker and you’ll understand. Make a card! There are wedding invitations, bridal shower invitations, even birthday party invitations like I had made. Even if it’s for fun and I know you’ll go back again and again… it’s simple, they’re elegant and in an affordable price range. Perfect.
