It wasn’t all that long ago that Tot wouldn’t even think of coloring. If I tried to get him to color or draw anything he’d just mark the paper and wander off. Then something really amazing happened a few months ago when he received a coloring book as a gift, he started coloring! Coloring led the way into drawing pictures and focusing on his letters; all of which began to help improve his motor development.
Helping your child with their development also means providing nourishment with play. It is recommended that children receive 1 1/2 cups of fruit a day and as Juicy Juice is made from 100% Real Fruit Juice, one 4fl oz of juice = 1/2 a cup! It also provides 60% of the USDA recommended amount of Vitamin C for kids and has NO added sugars or synthetic dyes. It’s the perfect juice for growing kids, especially ones that are go-go-go like mine!
Here’s something really neat! From now until September 2014 you can get coupons for Crayola products on specialty marked boxes of Juicy Juice at Walmart! You can notice them by the Save $3.00 on Crayola Products on the front.
The coupons can be found on both the Juicy Juice boxes and the 64oz jugs. The coupons differ depending on the package. With our small Juicy Juice Apple boxes we got 3 coupons, but with the 64oz we got 4!
The boxes are really fun too! They not only have the coupons inside for the Crayola products, but they also have the apple hippo that you can color on the other side!
You can find the coupons for Juicy Juice on specialty marked Crayola Color Wonder and My First Crayola Products. Pick both of them up at Walmart and you have the tools towards the #UltimatePlaydate!
Here’s a fun craft you can make with your kids using the Juicy Juice boxes and some Popsicle sticks!
Things you Need:
- Juicy Juice boxes
- 10 Popsicle sticks (per box)
After your child is finished with their Juicy Juice box, cut the top off and rinse it out. Glue your Popsicle sticks around the outside of the box and let it dry. Your children can also color it with Crayola crayons and markers!
Fill it with some water and put in those adorable flowers (and weeds) your kids love to bring home! Nothing says I love you like when your child picks your flowers out of the yard and brings them inside.
We’ve had a lot of fun the last few days making trucks outside on the sidewalk, crafting and watching the magic of Crayola Color Wonder papers. We have the new Planes Color Wonder notebook and it never ceases to amaze him when images begin to appear where there were none, like when he colors the sky blue and white clouds begin to form. He also loved the Crayola 24ct Sidewalk Chalk because it had colors like Macaroni & Cheese and Purple Mountain Majesty.
Some of the most special moments in my day are just watching my son color. He’s figuring out how to stay in the lines all by himself as he is stubbornly independent like his Daddy. The nice thing is that the Color Wonder markers don’t marker all over him or the floor, so I don’t have to worry about coming back to random art work on the walls if I need to step out of the room.
The next time you are at Walmart, make sure to pick up some Juicy Juice and use the coupons to check out the office/craft supply section for a few great Crayola products! It’s never too early to start nourishing your child’s development and helping them to learn through creative play.
