I recently got to work with a neat company called Dezign With a Z. They make fabulous wall decals and wall stickers. I had actually stumbled across this site some time ago when I was planning our nursery when I was pregnant. At the time I didn’t get anything but since then I see they’ve added some more great decals and even have a great selection of Animal Wall Decals.
I had a really hard time deciding what I would like to chose. I actually went back several times in 4 days just trying to decide. I was tempted to get something for my daughter’s room but finally decided to get something for the kitchen. I’ve been wanting a wall decal for the kitchen for a while now but haven’t found the right one. Nothing really seemed like a good fit and the location where the decal was going to go was a bit challenging as well. I finally settled on the Cutie Birds Cages Wall Stickers. What I liked best is you can chose the color of the decal you want and also you select your wall color and it will show you what it will look like on your wall.
The decals arrived very quickly rolled up in a sturdy container. I was so excited to open them up and see how they looked. Our kitchen is yellow and blue and the blue decal matched perfectly with our blue curtains. They looked great in person, I couldn’t wait to get them up on the wall!
Like I said, I chose a rather difficult location for my Bird Cages. We have open stairs that lead to the basement, so one side is the wall where I putting the decal and the other is only a half wall and there is no place to stand to put the decal besides the stairs so I had to do a little balancing and stretching but managed to get them up perfectly.

Installation was quite simple. Start out by laying your decal on the ground, using the rubber tool provided, or a credit card, rub on the decal to help adhere the decal to the transfer tape. Peel off the paper backing and press the decal onto the spot you would like to apply it. Rub over with the spatula again. Slowly peel off the transfer paper. Rub over any air bubbles and you’re done! So easy!
I had originally planned on placing all 3 bird cages on the big wall leading down to the steps. Unfortunately I must have thought I was super mom because after the first 2 were up I realized I would never be able to reach high enough to get the third bird cage up. I decided to place the last bird cage on the adjacent wall and place one of the small birds in the open spaces that were harder to reach. I am actually really glad I did it this way, I think it looks much better and I love that both walls are filled up now. I have always loved birds and enjoy having the windows open to listen to the birds chirp. We live in the Midwest and are having a record heat summer though and it’s been over 100 most of this month, so windows open are not an option, at least this way I can look at my birds and dream of cooler days!
Dezign with a Z has lots of other great Wall Decals as well. I have always loved the tree decals, I am gonna have to get one of these soon! They also have great options for kids, babies, sports, and more. As well as wall mirrors and clocks, which I thought was really neat.
I just love wall decals because they are so easy to install and easy to remove. They work great for people renting too because often times you aren’t allowed to paint or change anything but wall decals are removable so you can personalize your space and not have to worry about being charged to redo anything.
Dezign with a Z has something for everyone, so if you’re looking to spruce up your office, business or just looking for an extra touch for your house you can’t go wrong here. Plus with kids heading off to college these will be a great addition to dorm rooms as well.
