“I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Discover Boating. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
Boating has been a part of my life since before I can remember. I was riding boats with my family before I could walk so my love of boating runs deep. I am super excited to share with you all that I am now an Ambassador for Discover Boating and I hope to share tips and stories with all you readers so that I may inspire each of you to try boating as a family! Summer is here and that means it’s time to get excited about getting on the water.

Check out this very touching short film, Good Run, about a man’s life journey by boat.
Boating is such a big part of so many of my childhood memories that even though my girls are young we still spend our summers on the water.
We go boating almost every single weekend for a good 6 months out of the year. For my family our boating home is on the lake my parent’s live on which is down the street from my house. I can’t count the endless hours we have just driven around for a ride together and when it is really hot we get into water sports. I started riding jet skis at around 2 (I have seen the photographic proof or I wouldn’t believe it) and so I have tried to instill a love of water with my girls too. Here is my oldest when she was 2 riding behind the boat on an inflatable.
Sometimes we just ride around and enjoy the scenes and the wildlife that the girls like to spot. We do plenty of fishing too and that is always a calming activity everyone can do.
I will make sure and take some new pictures of our adventures and post them next month. Big Sis now kneeboards and skis but I have no pictures so I gotta make that happen. We are definitely going boating this Father’s Day since that is the perfect dad activity for the whole family to enjoy. If you ever thought about purchasing a boat check out the boat selector tool with Discover Boating that helps you select the right one for the activities you want to do. Or if you are more interested in just testing out the waters check out their information on renting a boat. Whatever way gets you on the water make sure to take lots of pictures because on the Discover Boating Facebook page they currently have a contest going on for you to submit your best Independence Day boating photos for their Facebook photo contest running mid-June through early July. There is just something magical about being on the water and I look forward to it every summer!
