~I received a sample from Diono for review. Opinions and stories are my own.~
A new year brings a time to start fresh and plan to get things accomplished. My first “mommy mission” is to finally and successfully potty train my 3 year old. She has shown signs of potty training for over a year now but honestly the reason it has not happened yet is because I am lazy. With my oldest in elementary school and in plenty of after school activities I find myself always on the go. I did not want to stop every 30 minutes to make sure my toddler was using the potty and I certainly don’t want to clean up puddles at a store. Asking a human being “do you need to pee” gets old real quick. Other than having a solid stash of thick cloth trainers my favorite accessory would have to be the Dry Seat from Diono.
This is the ingenious product you don’t realize you need it till it happens. By that I mean a potty accident in the car. With my oldest it happened once and it was terrible. Soaked through the carseat and into the seat in my mini van. It was an absolute disaster to clean. This little accessory contains accidents so all you have to do is wash this instead of having to clean everything in the car.
This car seat protector provides a plush, waterproof cushion between your child and the car seat upholstery. The best part is that it is machine wash and dry.
It won’t contain a gallon of fluid but for everyday accidents this thing can be a lifesaver. Of course I still try and rush her to the bathroom when she says she has to go but I am all about a product that will help me contain a mess.
It is easily moved so I can change it to her stroller when we are using that to protect it as well. Or for trips to the beach or pool where wet bathing suits will be used. We have been doing great the last week and I hope to be able to say she is officially potty trained within the next week. At least I won’t be worried about having to clean potty accidents in the car. Even these little resolutions can be a big deal…my baby won’t really be a “baby” anymore when she is officially out of diapers.
