~I received Froggy Goes to the Library for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Celebrate the 25th title in the adorable Froggy book series – Froggy Goes to the Library – by bestselling author Jonathan London and critically acclaimed illustrator Frank Remkiewicz. Froggy loves going to the library but like most little ones he has a problem sitting still and being quiet so the librarian is keeping a close eye on him.
When Froggy and Mom and Pollywogilina set out for the library, Froggy brings a wheelbarrow to hold all the books he plans to borrow. There are so many to choose from: Dinosaur books! Books about Space Frog! Froggy is so excited that he forgets to use his indoor voice.
Readers enjoy Froggy’s antics, and so does Miss Otterbottom, the librarian. “Come again soon, Froggy,” she says.
As a former librarian I especially enjoyed this book. Sometimes librarians can be seen as mean but they like to laugh just like anyone else. There have been over 5.5 million Froggy books sold! With that many copies out there it goes to show that kids really enjoy Froggy and all of his adventures. This book series is geared towards the 3-5 age range and Froggy is the kind of character anyone can fall in love with. Most preschoolers can easily relate to not being able to sit still so they will love this book and its ending. A very enjoyable book series and my daughter (and myself) can’t wait to read the next one!
