Some mornings I like to get up just a little bit earlier, not much earlier though. It doesn’t take a whole lot of time to open up some Pillsbury crescent rolls, peanut butter and grandpa’s homemade Strawberry Jam. It’s a delightful little breakfast crescent roll treat that we all love around our house! My husband didn’t have to be at work until 9am this morning due to the weather so it was the perfect time to share a little warm treat together.
Now my oldest son who is almost the big 13, does not like peanut butter, so you can improvise with your own version or simply just spoon the Jam into the crescent roll.
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees – cook crescent rolls according to package instructions
- Roll out your crescent rolls
- With a teaspoon, spoon on your peanut butter then spoon on your Strawberry Jam
- Carefully stretch out your pastry so that when you roll it up you have plenty of room to pinch the ends of it to keep the savory center from running out.
Don’t worry when you pull them out of the oven, they will be gooey and have some caramelized sugary jam goodness on the bottom of them.
And there you have it a sweet holiday treat that you can make your very own. All you have to do is find out what sweet goodness your family would like in the middle!
Happy Holidays! and Enjoy!
