~Post made possible by Gymboree~
When I think of the name Gymboree, I picture playgrounds and jungle gyms, bright colors and laughing children. It exudes the sense of excitement, fun, wonder and joy of childhood; as if little ones would shout it when rushing across plastic rope bridges. A name that fits their mix-match styles that allow children the independence to dress themselves while still keeping the colors in sync for parents.
I have been really excited to work on this review to share with you the delight of Gymboree Spring & Summer styles. To really get a feel for both the girls and boys collections, I had my writer Katrina and her daughter (who is the same age as my little tot!) help me out!
Our kids picked out most of their own pieces for these outfits. The tops and bottoms are categorized in Collections; here are the a few of them available for boys and girls this season.
- Wild for Zebra
- Island Lily
- All American Style
- Surf Adventure
- Aqua Summer
- Outback Adventure
- Shark Patrol
- All American Style
- Gone Surfin’
- Summer Wheels
Big sis picked out the Gem Sunrise Surf’s Up Tank, the Gem Dolphin Tee and Bow Cargo Pocket Plaid Shorts from the Surf Adventure Collection and some adorable socks and accessories!
Lil tot picked up the Shark Fin Terry Hoodie and Shark Measurement Tee from the Shark Patrol Collection. The Motorcycle Ringer Tee from the Summer Wheels Collection and Drawstring Plaid Shorts.
Later I decided to get a few more pieces via the online shop because I was addicted to their sales! I added in The Big Wave Surf Terry Cargo Short from the Gone Surfing Collection and some Faux Suede Sneakers!
All of the different pieces were interchangeable regardless of what Collection they came from. The shirts would pair well with any of the shorts; which gave the kids more freedom to choose what they wanted while shopping and what they wanted to wear each day. The clothing was light and made to give room for kids to be kids with a durability to keep up with them. Everything from the fun bright styles of the seasons to the functionality of the clothing reflect Gymboree’s values and mission to celebrate childhood and support happy, healthy kids.
I also wanted to mention something really amazing about Gymboree that I didn’t know until my later purchases online. It’s a program called ThredUP, where they send you a prepaid shipping bag where you can place your gently used name brand clothing and send it in for Gymboree credit!
What an amazing idea! For how fast my tot grows out of clothing, I was so excited about this program. I haven’t mailed anything out yet, nor received any credit for it, but I just had to share it because it is another reason why I love the Gymboree brand. They honestly have everything covered for growing kids!
Most of the tops featured are on sale at the moment, as well as the shorts! When my writer and I had went shopping they had an extra 45% off on many of the styles and you can generally find great promotional coupons by signing up for Gymboree Rewards. Right now they have a sale going on for $6 Tees, Tanks and Shorts with an extra 25% off most already marked down styles! After shopping, I got a $25 OFF $50 for my next shopping trip! They offer so many ways for families to get the most out of their clothes for the seasons and you really can’t beat that.
I received a GC to review Gymboree Spring styles, some of the pieces were purchased on my own. Opinions are my own and are in no way influenced by any form of compensation. Many thanks to my writer Katrina and her beautiful daughter for helping to show off the styles with me!
