In just a few days my youngest will be entering Kindergarten! This was our last weekend before school life begins, so we decided to do something special. I had been saving a Hallmark Poster kids card that I got from Walmart, this really amazing regular sized card that turns into a giant poster, and thought it would be sweet to set it out with some cookies. Although his Dusty Poster Card is technically for birthdays, I wanted it anyway because he is such a huge fan of Disney Planes and I knew he’d absolutely love it!
Tot and I made Oatmeal Cherry cookies earlier in the afternoon and while he was away with Daddy for a bit, I got the card together and set it out with the plate. He loves, loves, loves cards of all shapes and sizes; especially the ones that do special things. The Hallmark Poster Card was something entirely new and when he opened it he just went crazy!
I picked out Dusty, Tot’s newest best friend. Everything is Dusty at the moment. It was a birthday card but we overlooked that. Sshh!
It’s also nice being a Hallmark Rewards Member. You can earn rewards for the Hallmark cards you purchase at Walmart! For every 5 cards you buy you get 1 reward and since we buy a lot of cards, it adds up. I’ve been a member for many years since my husband and I have an affinity for Hallmark Cards. Since you are purchasing them anyway, might as well get a little reward for yourself!
After cookies and talk about his big day coming up, we had to find space in his room. He loves posters just as much as he loves cards, but we found the best spot on his closet door! The Dusty Poster Card just made the whole day. It’s a great way to put a big smile on your little ones face (or big ones!).
All that was left was eating some delicious cookies and pretending to fly around the house! After all, we were High Flying Heroes!
