We decided to make the Holiday Treasure Cookies from The Christmas Table yesterday while my niece was over. I woke up this morning to take a photo of the cookies we made and guess what?!?!
Someone ate all the cookies.
There is a cookie thief in my house and I am on the look out! There has been a Magic Elf causing a stir over at Rachel’s house and it may or may not have something to do with that…. I am investigating….
However, we did have a lot of fun making the Holiday Treasure Cookies together, my teen, tot and my niece and lots and lots of sugar.

These cookies have everything! The recipe uses Red, White and Green candy coated chocolates and I happened to grab a bag of Red, White and Green M&Ms. I later found out that they were MINT. They actually tasted pretty good! Though the mint is a little overpowering. I suggest either a) sticking to what it asks for and buying candy coated chocolates that are NOT mint or b) using less of them.
My teen decided he was going to take two big cookies and put whip cream in the middle.
I’m not sure if he has come out of his sugar coma yet….
These are some super sweet cookies and addictive! I made smaller ones for the tots in order to preserve my sanity. Neither of them are used to a lot of sugar and a little bit goes a very, very long way. I, however, being the sugar addict I am, was in heaven.
This is one recipe out of The Christmas Table Cookbook by Gooseberry Patch. I will have something to show for the dinner table next time! Until then, you can enter the giveaway for your own Christmas Table Cookbook!
Now I have to go figure out who stole all the cookies…
I received a copy of the book for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions are my own and/or my families and are not influenced by any form of compensation.
