~This post is made in partnership with Jack’s Pizza and The Motherhood. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Back-to-School time is a lot like returning to work on Monday after a long vacation. The anticipation of it is a bit exciting because vacationing as a parent is exhausting, but you also know that it brings with it “the schedule”: the after school sports, the clubs, PTO or Scouts – both? There’s always something. This year I’ve been being a taxi for Teen’s first job and Tot started Cub Scouts. I also think I unintentionally became the Den Leader and this was between planning birthday parties, trying to help with a wedding and… well you get the point. Some days are simple and some days are insane; so I’m pretty thankful that on the craziest days I can rely on Jack’s Pizza for dinner.
I love the new hashtag for Jack’s Pizza, #RealCheeseRealLife, because that’s what it is all about – real life. In a daydreaming world I could probably whip up some very Pinterest-y dinners that I spent all day making while sewing incredible craft projects, but in the real world I am lucky if I can get the time to even think of what to make for dinner. For example, on Thursday I have to have my oldest at work by 5pm and my youngest at Cub Scouts by 6:30pm, both arrive home from school at 3:30pm. For this to work I have to leave by 4:30pm and I have exactly 1 hour to make dinner, put it on the table and have everyone eat. I know you have days like this too! The solution is simple, it’s right there in the Frozen aisle at your supermarket! 1 Jack’s Pizza + 12 minutes in the oven = Happy Family.
I’ve been a fan of Jack’s Pizza for years. For me it’s the sauce, but I do love the fact that they use 100 Percent Real Wisconsin Cheese AND they’re Midwestern like me! People from St. Louis are serious about their thin crust pizza’s and Jack’s makes the best Original Thin Crust. They do have these new Rising Crust Pizza’s which Teen loves and everyone was a fan of at Tot’s birthday party last week, but I tend to stick to my roots.
Life is a lot like a pizza when you think about it. You have the crust of your life (your family), the sauce which makes everything stick (love, trust, faith), the messy things you love the most (kids, pets, spouses) and all the toppings that make it your own personal favorite (job, hobbies, activities). Just like with your life you want to make sure it is the best quality, that the ingredients are real and that in the end it leaves you feeling happy and at home – even on the most complicated and crazy days there could be.
So here’s my solution to those crazy days – get real and go pick up a Jack’s Pizza down the street. I’m positive that you’ll thank me later.
