Are you looking for stocking stuffers? This year surprise your kids with some unexpected items that will stretch their imagination. JUMBiES are interesting mixed up animals that are made from unexpected combinations as the story below explains.
There were more babies being born than ever before.
The storks had to deliver them from shore to shore
There was so much to do they had little time for rest.
They flew to America, Europe, Antarctica and down under.
They went to Africa and Asia trying not to blunder.
It began to get very confusing on where they had to go.
Some storks turned left when they should have turned right.
Some storks flew all day when they should have flown at night.
Then in began to happen in a flash! One by one they started to CRASH!!
The babies were fine but the storks did not know what to say.
When the storks crashed and tumbled, it appeared all the animal babies were jumbled!
The storks could not believe their eyes. These babies were quite a surprise
So they called them JUMBiES
And they became a new breed!
We received “Samson the Sealion” and “Whackers the Mallit” for review and they are definitely unique. The sealion is a cross between a seal and a lion and the mallit is the combination of a mallard jumbled with a rabbit. My daughter was unsure what to make of the interesting creatures, but I know they will have interesting adventures together as they appear in future puppet shows or sit in on future tea parties. I can’t wait to hear where her imagination will take her in explaining these odd animals.
I really like the size of the JUMBiES, which is perfect for trips or just to keep busy in the car. These would also be great at the grandparents’ house as they don’t require a lot of storage space. You could also simply add a new JUMBiE to the collection for each visit, so they could discover the new animals together.
You can get the book “The Story of JUMBiES” to add to your child’s book collection. They will enjoy reading about how the silly JUMBiES came to be over and over. You should also check out the JUMBiES website, which is very interactive and even has free coloring sheets that you can print out.
I look forward to adding more JUMBiES to our home like the zelephant (zebra + elephant), which would be a cute addition to the elephant theme we are doing for our upcoming addition.
I do want to mention that these toys are safe for ages 3+, so please don’t leave a little one with them unattended. Our JUMBiES are going to be hanging out on the bookshelves to be used during story time and later will find their way into the toy area once our daughter is a little bit older. Since some of the animals may become “endangered” (retired), you will want to purchase your favorites while you still can even if you aren’t ready to give them to your child yet.
You can connect with JUMBiES on Facebook or Twitter.
You can buy JUMBiES from the JUMBiES website or at a Retailer near you for only $6.99
I received samples for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions are my own and/or my families and are not influenced by any form of compensation.
