~I received these Toys Found at HABA for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Keeping little ones entertained all summer long is no easy feat! I try to save playing a movie or iPad time for rainy times or when I absolutely just need a “mom break.” Here are three awesome toys found at HABA that are non-electronic and all about simple play and are all fun.
For my family board games never get old. We have weekly board game night and everything but now that it is summer and we have more free time we often play games throughout the week. HABA’s Animal Upon Animal is a wooden stacking game, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! At only $19.99 and for ages 4+ so even my youngest can play with us.
You roll the dice and you either have to stack one or two animals, give one of your animals away so they have to stack, have someone else tell you which one you have to stack or add another to the base. Of course don’t let them fall over. First to get rid of all of their animals wins. This game is a ton of fun!
With dinosaurs always being a kid favorite now they can roar at the shore with the HABA’s Digging Claw, perfect for sand play at the beach, lake, sand box or park. Simply slide a hand into the kid-sized glove and dig in for prehistoric preschool excavations! It is $12.99 and even for little ones at ages 1+.
It is super cute and I wish my hand fit in it! It fits to at least a 6 year old because here is my oldest daughter playing with it.
I can always count on crafting to entertain my girls. They absolutely adore painting although I usually am not a fan of the mess. I can at least keep the kiddos clean with Lassig’s Wildlife Art Smocks. It has long sleeves with elastic on the wrist, a Velcro neck closure, and it comes in three adorable animal designs. They are $19.99 and for ages 3-7 years.
Here is a picture of my 3 year old in it and my 6 year old easily fits in it as well. I like that I can use it for either child and that it really covers them. We can get quite messy sometimes!
Summer won’t last forever and in the meantime I try and keep my girls occupied and having fun. These three items have helped entertain them all week long. Only 5 weeks to go!
