~I received Let’s Color Together: A Shareable Coloring Book for Parents and Kids for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
I just love all the coloring books out there for everyone no matter what your age! Artist Margaret Peot decided to combine the popularity of adult coloring books and the enduring pastime of kids coloring books into Let’s Color Together: A Shareable Coloring Book for Parents and Kids. Each spread in Let’s Color Together features two versions of the same design – one is typically more detailed and intricate than the other – that are laid out so parents and kids can color face-to-face across a table. Let’s Color Together also features perforated pages so families can color side-by-side or display their handiwork!
Margaret Peot is an artist, writer, and costume painter. Her books include Inkblot: Drip, Splat and Squish Your Way to Creativity, which was awarded the Eureka! silver Medal for non-fiction children’s books, Alternative Art Journals, and Make Your Mark.
Big Sis and I spent our time coloring these sheets together. You can see where one offers more detail and the other less detail but they are both still cute. Absolutely PERFECT for an adult to work on with a child. During our time coloring she would tell me in detail about her day in school so it was a special time for us to have together. Even my husband loves this book since he loves coloring but the girls always want to color on “his” sheet. I just love what Peot has done and each page is truly a pleasure to color.
