Before I decided to create this blog I had stumbled across one called Get Along Home in my adventures of giveaways. I was actually trying to figure out if it was even possible to win online giveaways when I wound up there and started to read. Cindy, unlike a lot of blogs I come across, actually wrote and because of that I read. One day she put up a post about wanting a laminator and left her Amazon wish list open believing no one would actually do anything with it. I had found myself reading this post as I had been a subscriber and just thought maybe she’d actually like something on the list. I randomly chose something I figured would be nice for her homeschooling she wrote about and sent it to her. Through this surprise we became “blogging buddies” as it were. And shortly after I would decide to make inRandom into what it is now. In a way she restored my faith in blogs. They weren’t, as it seemed, only places for reviews but also for honest writing about oneself.
I consider Cindy my blogging friend. She was the first Mommy Blogger I started actually talking to and that I still read with engrossing anticipation when she writes because she writes well. She’s insightful, intelligent and honest to a fault and I like that about her.
So I read the other day about how she put up her son’s picture on this Facebook page to try and win an HD Flip cam and how she knew she wouldn’t have a chance considering the other Moms out there and how they bring in votes (by paying people?!) I decided I wanted to help. I know she could really use this camera and I think it would be really great for her family. I’ve been asking Facebook Fans to like the page but I decided I would also write this here, in case any of you read it or wonder why I decided to help in the first place.
Cindy’s a good person and good people deserve things every once in awhile especially when they give so much that they generally have so little for themselves. Good people don’t ask for much and what they do receive they receive in a great abundance of gratitude. She only asked if people would take a second to “Like” a photo of her beautiful smiling son and I don’t think that’s too much to ask so I wanted to ask for your help. Take a second, just a second, “Like” this photo and that’s it. I’ve decided that if she actually wins we’ll have a celebration giveaway because it’ll be that great! And if you want to know who Cindy is or if you want to read an amazing blog, check out Get Along Home. You won’t ever regret registering.
