~I received Lumi Dough for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
If you are looking for fun crafts and activities this summer, you have to check out this new form of playable dough called Lumi Dough. Tot has a fascination with all things glow-in-the-dark and having dough that he could mold into glowing shapes was so exciting for him!
The Lumi Dough is a bit tough at first for durability, but is more malleable once you start really playing with it. The box comes with 5 Glowing Colors (Clear, Green, Pink, Purple and Blue) with a bonus small pack of Black which is great for bits like eyes. It also has a playmat, star shapes, non stick baking sheet and a free downloadable guide where you can get ideas!
You can also create shapes, bake them and they’ll still hold the glow. It would be a great craft to make all the planets and string them from a hanger in the child’s room. At night when they go to sleep they could watch them spin and glow! They also stick, so you could stick stars on the walls.
It is really hard to take a photo in pure darkness, but this gives you an idea of how bright the glow is. It didn’t matter if it was the first day we played with Lumi Dough or weeks after, the glow was just as bright. One of my favorite, most favorite, aspects of the Lumi Dough is that it is also washable because it is made from silicone; so if the dough gets really dirty you can just clean it off!
