~I received a Magic Jinn for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own and are not influenced by any compensation.~
A little while ago a little Magic Jinn game entered our home and began a battle between minds, specially me vs. Magic Jinn. The cute little accented animal (what is it?) portends to read whatever animal is on your mind. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose and sometimes my tot pushes his nose before we get a chance to battle it out.
In fact, if you can imagine, there were three of us adults trying to make Magic Jinn slip up and only once (in all the weeks we’ve had him) has he not figured out what we were thinking of. Though it could have been that I just didn’t know enough about Lemur’s to answer the questions. That’s the trick, he asks you a series of Yes or No questions and based on those answers comes up with the animal you are thinking of.
I know, maybe not magic, but the kids get a real kick out of it! You can see a really great video on the game from Time to Play Magazine!
Magic Jinn can fit in your palm, which means he is the perfect size for little hands. He is rated for 6+ in order to understand how to play the game, but it is a lot of fun to play with little kids and help them out. They still hold those whimsical ideas of magic and it is so fun to see their eyes get so big and wide with unbelief at the little animal who ‘read their mind’.
He’s available at K-Mart, Target, Walmart and anywhere Hasbro toys are sold; retailing for $19.99. A great game for Family Game Night and also for car rides to entertain the kids! Make sure to check out other Hasbro games, ideas and share your stories on Hasbro Game Night!
