I had the pleasure of reviewing Manna Organics in March; a whole sampler of their breads! And I was blessed to be able to introduce to you their Sourdough Breads in specific, since those are my favorites. They’re really great for appetizers for get-togethers or luncheons. With it being summer and many of us are hosting parties, having friends over and/or enjoying the company of our families – I thought it would be a nice to show you a very healthy, enjoyable snack that is filled with whole grains! Let me first introduce to you Manna Organics, for those of you that might not have been here in March.
Manna Organics is home to some of the best vegan organic Gluten Free breads, vegan organic yeast-free sprouted breads, raw organic trail mixes, artisan sourdough breads and organic ingredients. It is family owned and operated with their signature product being the fully sprouted Manna Bread; a cake-like, free of salt, no oils, no sweeteners, no leavening agents bread. You can read my review about their Manna Breads if you’d like to know more or understand the historical significance of Manna Bread!
They offer 3 Vegan, Kosher and Organic Certified Sourdough Breads that are yeast-free, moist, hand-made and sliced for your convenience: Multigrain Flax Sourdough, Sunny Sourdough and Bavarian Rye Sourdough Bread.
I love making these little breads into snacks, so I got some cheese to pair my breads with: Feta, Mild Cheddar and Roquerfort (which is expensive, you can get a cheaper bleu cheese).
The Multigrain Flax Sourdough Bread is very smooth and has a lighter flavor than the others so I paired it with a strong cheese. The Sunny Sourdough, which I found to have a strong Sourdough flavor I paired with a Mild Cheddar and the Bavarian Rye (which I’d already reviewed and loved) I put with the Roquerfort because my husband loves Rye bread and Roquerfort cheese.
I slice the little breads into four pieces and then set them out on an appetizer plate, slice the cheese and then put them on top. It’s really simple!
I love these breads! If you don’t like strong flavors, go with the Multigrain Flax. It’s very light and reminds me a lot of soft wheat breads. Although Rye is a strong flavored bread, the Bavarian Rye Sourdough is milder. There is a sweeter taste to these breads because of the process in how they are made which assists in making them a great light afternoon snack and/or appetizer for a get together.
Manna Organics makes many other styles of bread and their Manna Bread is absolutely worth a try. It is almost like a dessert bread and is wonderful in the morning! You can check out all of their breads in their shop! They also make Trail Mix, yum!
Purchase: You can purchase any of the Sourdough Breads for $3.30 a Loaf.
I received samples for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions are my own and/or my families and are not influenced by any form of compensation.
