Long ago, when the 90s were not seen as the ‘olden days’, I was introduced to this fancy fruit dip. My teen was the same age as my tot is now (4yrs) and we were invited to a lunch/fishing trip out by my new boss’s lake. I can’t remember what I brought to this lunch, outside of my son’s new Snoopy Fishing Pole, but I remember with certain clarity the fruit dip (and the fact that my son caught a lil fish). It was the taste of heaven!
Now I know that many people have already probably found this recipe or have seen it somewhere online, but back then in small towns recipes were passed from person to person and the best of them horded like golden dishes to hold over the heads of better bakers. This was my secret weapon for years!
- 7oz Marshmallow Fluff (or Whip)
- 8oz Whipped Cream Cheese (if regular – soften)
In all honestly, you can just get as much Marshmallow Whip and Cream Cheese you want and mix it together until it is of perfection. You’d know it was perfect because you won’t be able to stop eating it!
In my honest opinion, I think this is the best fruit dip that there ever was. I’ve had a lot of fruit dips, I even put up a recipe for another one a week ago, but this has always been my weakness.
