|Entering the Mud Maze|
I am happy to say that I completed every obstacle! A lot of people skipped some that were too difficult or scary but I am proud to say I did them all! I saw several girls skip the firemen pole. I believe it was about 15 feet off the ground, you had to climb the ladder and slid down the pole but several girls climbed back down. It was kinda scary though. It was quite a stretch to reach the pole, I did stand up there a few minutes but finally went! The obstacle I was most worried about was The Spinner. It was like a big crane and you grab a rope and hold on over a mud pit. I made it but was slipping off. You can see below I was literally holding on for dear life!

They also had a kids course which had some of the same type of obstacles that the kids could enjoy. My son just loved it! All the kids were just covered in mud! It was cute, random people were coming up to my son and asking to take his picture because he was so covered!

Thankfully after playing in the mud the fire department was there to hose us off. The water was freezing though! On the way out I heard a guy say “Hey isn’t that the kid that was covered in mud that everyone was taking pictures of?” Ha!

Overall this day was amazing! It was great to do something challenging with my husband and it was so rewarding afterwards knowing that I did it. It was also great knowing that all of this was for a great cause! The MuckRuckus raises money for Multiple Sclerosis. We have a long time family friend who has been dealing with MS for years and knowing that by participating I am helping to find a cure for this horrible disease.
