In case you haven’t been to Disney World lately, I have some exciting news! They are many new attractions at Disney World. They have expanded the Magic Kingdom! Best of all, some of the new additions are opening soon! The new Storybook Circus is set to open July of this year! This new addition centers around the classic film Dumbo. Casey Jr (the locomotive from the movie) is there and he brought the Storybook Circus with him!
If you’ve never been to Disney World chances are when you’ve seen TV shows where they are at Disney World the family is usually riding Dumbo. Unfortunately, Dumbo always has one of the longest lines in the park! In fact this past September was the first time I’ve actually gotten to ride Dumbo! The line was always too long for us. Sure it is just an elephant that flies in the sky in a circle and you can make him go up and down, but for some reason, Dumbo is just a ride you can’t pass up! I think it’s just a classic ride that must be rode! Thanks to the wonderful imagineers at Disney, the line will be cut in half now! The new Storybook Circus will feature TWO Dumbo rides!
Along with the Dumbo rides, will be a roller coaster called The Great Goofini. Apparently this ride used to be called the Barnstormer, but I never went on that ride and they are redoing it to be all new! Also in the Storybook Circus is a giant circus tent and I’m sure there are many other wonderful Disney touches along the way. All of this opens in July of this year! Just in time for my trip in September!
If that isn’t enough, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Gaston’s Tavern, and Ariel’s Grotto will all open this holiday season. I guess I will just have to come back next year too! Here is a sneak peak at Be Our Guest Restaurant!
The Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train will open in 2014 and I can’t wait for that! By that time my little ones may be big enough for it so that will be exciting.
One of the great things about Disney is they are always changing. They come up with new attractions all the time which is why it keeps the title the Happiest Place on Earth! When is your next Disney trip? Or your first?
