~I received a Ring It Up Cash Register for review. Opinions and stories are my own.~
You might remember me talking about how Judah had made Apple Pizzas and decided to charge his big brother $5 for his baked treats. This all came about because of his New Sprouts® Ring It Up Cash Register. Throughout the weeks in October he had been playing ‘Produce Shop’ at school with his speech teacher. All the kids had jobs that changed each day and his favorite job was running the cash register. I was really excited to get the chance to review the Ring It Up Cash Register from Learning Resources so we could play at home!
This cute little toy is generally for ages 2-4, but Judah really loves it. It has 5 big buttons that when pushed spin the numbers on the register and show different amounts of fruits and vegetables.
We had decided it would be cute to go out and get each of the different fruits and vegetables and he had charged us based on what the register said. Along with the buttons and the spinning totals, it also came with 5 coins with differing amounts. The coins fit through the top of the register; on the left side slot the coins roll down for change and on the right side slot they go back into the register.
What’s really nice is the durability of this model is that if your child is like mine and wants to see what happens if you put two coins in at the same time or stick something in the slots that isn’t supposed to go in there, it’s really easy to fix. You take off the back from a few screws and pop the coin down or take the inadequate object out!
