Many parents are searching for first phones for their Tweens and Teens going back to school this year. As there are multitudes of choices available, I wanted to share with you one choice that I believe makes the most sense for first phone users.
I was introduced to the new Pantech Vybe a few weeks ago and I honestly wish I had this option when first shopping for my Teens first phone. If you have concerns about your child becoming distracted by having a Smartphone, but still want to be connected with them while they’re away from home, then this is the perfect phone for them.
The Pantech Vybe is a quick and easy messaging cellphone that sticks to the basics. It has the essentials that most cellphones offer plus:
- Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard
- 3.2″ Touchscreen Display
- 3 Customizable Homescreens
- Quick Camera Button
- Social Media Shortcuts (Facebook/Twitter)
- Say-A-Command Button
- Duel User Modes
- Mobile Web
- Email with att.net
- AT&T Drive Mode
- AT&T Navigator
- AT&T Address Book
- AT&T Family Map
- Account Management
You’ll notice that Applications aren’t available on the Pantech Vybe, which is the key to why this phone is perfect for beginners. It offers all the options to stay connected without many of the distractions that Smartphones offer. I know first hand how those distractions can disrupt school and homework. For kids who are getting their first phones right before school, it makes better sense to start out with the basics.
Parents can also choose to disable the social media and internet options by discussing plan options with an AT&T Representative.
It’s very easy to use and has a nice sleek design. The Duel User Modes allow kids to switch between the Easy Mode and the Advanced Mode without losing their contacts and favorites as well. Plus, for those kids who are super photo friendly, the Vybe’s Quick Camera Button makes it easier than ever to take the perfect selfie!
The Pantech Vybe is available exclusively at AT&T stores nationwide and online at att.com. Whether you are looking to add a child to an existing family plan or start their own rate plan, there are several affordable ways to get your child started! You can find more information about Pantech Vybe at MyFirstPhone.com!
I love the Pantech Vybe as a first phone. It offers parents the security of knowing their child is okay no matter where they are and gives tweens/teens the chance to learn about how to be responsible with their cellphone. It’s a great family option for the school season!
