~I received a pair of pediped shoes for review. Opinions and stories are my own.~
When it comes to girl’s fashion nothing is more exciting than shoes. Pediped has launched its Spring/Summer 2014 Collection of American Podiatric Medical Association accepted footwear. The collection offers more than 70 new styles and color combinations across its three signature shoe lines. I think the ones from their new line are some of the cutest ones yet!
For those of you that may be new to pediped, each line of their shoes are designed to work best for a growing foot in certain stages of growth. Here are some of the spotlights for the Spring/Summer Collection for each line!
12 new styles have been added this season. Highlighting the collection is Louisa and Lacee for a brighter wardrobe, and Isabella and Betty cover signature styles. For boys, Martin is an ultra breathable choice for outdoor adventures.
Grip ‘n’ Go™
The collection highlights Memory Foam Technology™ in five new styles: Mirabella, Lacee, Tori, Martin, and Brice. Also new to Grip ‘n’ Go is Riddell and Orion, two athletic styles that are machine washable and water-safe.
Popular as ever, the water-safe, eco-friendly Adventure Line expands with over 10 new styles and color combinations. Featuring pops of bright colors, the Sahara and Shorebet make their debut for girls alongside Shoreline for boys.
Each of my girls have worn pediped shoes over the years and they are always of the highest of quality and are exactly what I look for in footwear. I want shoes that look cute and hold up to constant wear with the toughest of play. Each pair have exceeded my expectations!
I was sent a pair of the new Darcy summer shoes in Fuchsia & Orange to try out on Lil Sis. This line is machine washable, water safe and eco-friendly; perfect for play outside and inside! Here in Florida I have always called this type of shoe a “water shoe.” To me that means it is perfect to wear to the beach, pool, lake or to one of the numerous small splash parks that are everywhere.
These are from their Grip ‘n’ Go line and they are very flexible so that the shoe can bend and move with your child. Grip ‘n’ Go’s are made to help toddlers transitioning from early walking to confidence. See here, I am putting a slight bit of pressure on them and they flex easily!
I tested these out in our pool and they work great. Lil Sis wears a size 8 and these are a size 8.5 so they are a little big, but give enough room for her to grow. I find their shoes run true to size using their size chart.
One of features I really like about these shoes are that they are closed toed. She is 2 and can try and run faster than her feet can keep up so I like that her little toes don’t get caught on anything. When it comes to splash pads she will always wear these shoes! They have a great all natural rubber sole on them to keep her from slipping. I can’t count the number of children that run through the water and take ugly spills and hurt themselves. With both my girls wearing water shoes we have never had an issue with them slipping and falling. With the mesh sides they will be perfect for the summer heat as it can be brutal down here.
Pediped has won numerous awards for their shoes and that is because they are designed to work with growing feet. In terms of quality, I don’t think there is a children’s shoe line out there that can top pediped. Big Sis says their shoes are “super great fashion” and I would have to agree with her!
The pediped® Spring/Summer 2014 Collection is now available for purchase online at the pediped website and in select retail stores.
