Polly Pocket has been pretty busy working at her new Playtime Pet Shop. She has a lot of animals to take care of!
There is her little dog to wash. He comes with his own shampoo and perfume, just in case he got a little stinky I suppose. I love the little towel behind the tub for her to dry the puppy off. She also has little footholds to keep her in place. After she’s finished washing up, she also has toys and treats she can give him.
There is one cat and three little sleepy kittens to take care of as well. The bottom part of the swing where the cat sits is actually Polly’s swing. You can place her in there and she rests well as long as her hair is over the seat since it makes her head a little heavy.
They also come with a little mouse to play with and kitty treats. The birds can come off their swing, but they look pretty cute cuddling together.
You can’t forget the little bunny. It is adorable. Just look at those ears and feet! Behind the cute little bunny is a fish tank as well! They stay in there because it’s really just a sticker ssshhh… don’t tell the little girls!
Kenzie is getting Polly ready to take the dog out for a walk, even though he probably already had a bath five times by now. Thankfully there are leashes to make sure he doesn’t run away!
I think the little bunny would like to go on a walk too. She’s currently in the window that revolves for passerby’s to look in and see all the pets Polly has!
A few really fun things about the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop is the trap door that releases the pets to the bottom, in case you don’t want to use the slide. There is also the elevator that takes Polly Pocket up and down to the different floors of the Pet Shop. You can also see that the treats are dispensed from treat dispensers, one for the puppy and one for the cats.
The Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop is so much fun to play with. Polly does have an interchangeable skirt and shoes that can be removed. Her little puppy also comes with a carrying case to take him on adventures! That’s my nieces favorite thing in the whole world and she carried the little puppy in the carrying case all day long.
Another really fun thing we were able to do is watch the Polly Pocket Friends Finish First DVD that had little mini episodes of Polly Pocket!
Some ideas to keep in mind is that the pieces are very small, smaller than a penny and this set isn’t for children under 3 years old. You can keep all the small pieces in a little tin or in a baggy; I generally keep them up and away until one of the girls or my son wants to play with the Pet Shop. Outside of that, the kids adore it. I love seeing my son trying to feed the animals the treats, my nieces take the time to pretend to bath the animals or take them for walks. Watching them really expand their imagination through playtime is a wonderful experience.
