~I received products from Staples to facilitate this review. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Getting kids back into back-to-school spirit can be tough after a long summer of lazy afternoons, the pool and vacations. I always thought the best way to get them excited is to add in some fun supplies that show off their style. Here are a few items I was given the opportunity to review from Staples and they are definitely on the school “cool” List.
The Zipit 3-Ring Monster Pouch is my favorite! You can’t help but smile every time you see him, which is why I think he would be great for any kid going back to school to start their day off with something silly! He can fit pens, pencils, erasers, etc. and then zip them up in his mouth!
If your child isn’t really into Monsters, they can always choose to carry their items in a Woodland Animal Pencil Pouch!
That little Zipit Monster was eating a Staples Flexible Calculator if you were wondering. My tot really wanted to take this to school, he loves using it to push in numbers, but it was on its way with his big brother to high-school.
What I like about the Staples Flexible Calculator is that you can stick it in your pocket or fold it into your Zipit pouch. It is made with flexible silicone so when laying on a wooden surface (like a desk) it doesn’t slide off. This is great for students in need of a basic calculator for Math!
And just as a note, this would be great for Moms and couponers needing a calculator for their purse! You can roll it up and stick it anywhere! It also comes in some really wicked styles.
I know most of us have probably gotten a 3-Ring Binder on our school supply lists. Well, it doesn’t say you can’t have a cute 3-Ring Binder! Staples® Better® Non View Binder with D-Rings have dressed themselves all up for back-to-school too!
The nice thing about Staples Better Binders is that they can hold a lot of paper, they’re very easy to open with one finger and the rubberized spine can take a lot of use. They have great styles for girls and boys as well!
The Staples 2 Pocket Poly Folders are really beautiful. The designs that they have this year for folders are: Color Splash, Geo Graphic, Urban Spirit (a mix of street art and life) and Memory Lane (a mix of whimsicality with vintage art). These styles are also available in paper notebooks, stinky notes and index card holders!
The most important item for little ones, in my opinion, is actually clothing tags. I don’t know about you, but my kids have this tendency of losing jackets, coats, gloves or anything that can be taken off at school. To make sure those things find their way back to my kids, I am obsessive about tags. Staples offers Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery No-Iron Clothing Labels that are very easy to use and won’t come off in the wash!
They also provide larger ones for backpacks. You simply write your child’s name in permanent marker, make sure the place you want to tag it is flat and clean and place it on.
And for those kids that need a little extra help remembering things (like my teen!), there are also many different varieties of Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery Message Boards in push pin and dry erase!
Staples offers a variety of fun products in styles your kids will love and many in which could bring a smile on their first days of school.
