One gift I have always wanted to give my husband was a wireless Bluetooth speaker. Unfortunately we have Android phones and most of the nice speakers are only for Apple products. When I saw that the Soundfreaq Sound Kick worked with Android phones I had to have it! We’ve been driving ourselves crazy trying to get our old system to play Holiday music without kicking our phones off every ten minutes, I thought it would be a nice surprise for the family and just in time to put up our tree!
The Soundfreaq Sound Kick streams from any A2DP device: iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android, Blackberry, PCs, Tablets and more! It will also stream music, movies, T.V. shows, games, radio and even Apps! The line-in jack will connect any device with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, plus it has a USB power port to charge your mobile devices! You don’t even have to upgrade as any future Bluetooth device will already be compatible with the Sound Kick.
I prefer the black Sound Kick speaker, but it does have a new Chromatics Collection which includes Sunset, Ocean and Twilight. Recently they released their all white Ghost Sound Kick speaker! I think the color variants are great because the speakers are very unobtrusive and you can find one that matches your room perfectly.
It may look like just a simple little box, but it packs an enormous sound. The back of the Soundfreaq Sound Kick Speaker pulls out just enough to lean, which gives it a unique look. This also is supposed to help with the sound quality of the bass.
You also has a UQ3 spatial sound enhancement for balanced audio. It creates a psychoacoustic effect by controlling sound wave interaction. I haven’t really had to use this at all, the sound quality on its own was phenomenal. It also stayed very clear regardless of how high we pushed the volume on the speaker.
Another aspect I liked about it was that it had the controls to play, pause and go forward and back without having to return to your phone. You can easily do everything from the speaker itself. This came in handy if it was Paired with my husband’s phone and he was off doing something, I could just change the track or pause the music without having to ask him to do it!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Soundfreaq and received a product sample to facilitate my review.
