For more than 70 years, the Rubbermaid® brand represents innovative, high-quality products that help simplify life. From its original line of simple, durable housewares, Rubbermaid has developed a major presence in a wide array of categories ranging from home and garden to seasonal and commercial products. Recognized as a “Brand of the Century”, Rubbermaid is one of only 100 companies named as having an impact on the American way of life.
Rubbermaid is what I call a family brand name, a company to whom we all know very well and most of us are extremely thankful for. From the containers that keep our food fresh in the refrigerator, the mops and buckets that clean our floors to the multitudes of organizational storage containers that keep our rooms a little less like a tornado ran through them: Rubbermaid is a brand we’ve trusted with our homes for decades. I’m truly, truly honored to be able to tell you about one of their newest products for this years Spring Cleaning. I’m not only a Blogger, I am a Consumer and a Mom just like everyone else! Maybe I’m Brand star-struck. Ha!
The Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler is a hinged recycler that hides in your cabinet. It’s made from durable, machine washable, recycled materials (65% post-consumer resin) and can hold up to 5 gallons of recycled materials (think 36 crushed cans or a few milk jugs). It is very easy to put together and once latched onto your cabinet (without screws or nails or anything!), you can just lift the bag up to take your recyclables out and then set it back on. Very simple.
My son Cody, being the teenager that he is, is the one that generally takes out the recyclables and the trash. He was more excited than I would have expected from a teenager to have the Hidden Recycler. I suppose the multiple trips out to the big blue recycle container outside is tiring!
Okay, so I didn’t say he was excited to take out the recyclables! He just was excited to have a container for them and I really liked the fact that I wouldn’t have to look at a bulky container in my smaller sized kitchen; which is the entire reason we have trips in plural to the big blue container outside instead of having another garbage can. Also! Our Garbage Can is a hidden in a cabinet, so this was very chic for our kitchen!
Rubbermaid also has Stackable Recyclable Containers! I love, love, love these and once they are available I am going to snag them up!
This is the 2 in 1 Recycle; the top is for your recyclables and the bottom is for the trash! This is another alternative to having too many disposable containers in your kitchen and would fit well in small spaces.
