We were able to send this really adorable personalized video to my tot from PNP Santa via the Portable North Pole console. First the first time in my son’s life he has been excited about Christmas and is slowly feeling it out as one would anything new and obscure to them. He sings Christmas Carols all day long, is very adamant about his Advent Calender and although he figures Christmas is like a birthday party, he realizes that he is going to get a present. One day we asked him what he’d ask Santa to bring him and for a child who quite recently just figured out how to ask for things he sure is picking up making a list for Santa!
I don’t think my son knows exactly who Santa is, but since he is everywhere he has attached himself to this figure as readily as a new school friend. He doesn’t seem to mind that he might see different Santa’s at malls, if anything he is really excited if he sees more than one because he’ll add them to his list of places he saw Santa at. We thought about taking him to see Santa Claus, but the lines are always so long and none of them looked very happy to be there; plus we aren’t sure how Judah would react being passed over to a stranger. Having Santa visit him at home and talk to him personally was something special and I have been pretty excited to share it with you!
When you purchase the video you have a lot of options for personalization. First, you get to choose if your child is Nice, Naughty/Nice or Naughty (there are also options for adults). Then you choose whether it is a boy or a girl and add their name. As a nice touch, it will confirm the pronunciation of the name! Then you add in their birth date.
Santa has a book for each child, as you can see above, and in the book it shows a few photos that you choose, with captions as well as whether the Elves found them Nice, Naughty, etc. I chose Nice for my son and so I am not exactly sure what will come up with Naughty!
One thing I will note is that when you are personalizing the photos, make sure to personalize them in third person (“This is a photo of you on your trip!” NOT “Our vacation to etc.”) because the book is Santa’s book, not yours. I kind of messed up here, but at the moment my tot can’t read so it wasn’t a big deal.
Santa then takes the children into his secret toy shop to check and make sure their gift will be ready for Christmas. You get to personalize Santa talking about the gift the child wants for Christmas and I think it really surprised my son to hear that Santa Claus knew what he was wanting.
I think the most exciting part for my son was when Santa showed him our house through is telescope. He was in awe and then started clapping and hopping around, he was so excited to see that Santa knew where we lived!
The next part that is personalized is when Santa shows off his reindeer and he has a place on the wall for your child’s favorite animal as well. Afterward, Santa goes for a ride on his sleigh and bids farewell and Merry Christmas to the children. My tot loved to see the sleigh, the reindeer and the beautiful moon behind them. The video is very well made and looked magical on our T.V.
This wasn’t from a DVD either, I just hooked up my laptop via the HDMI cable to feed onto the Television. I loved that it was a personalized file that was sent over almost immediately because it’s a gift that you can get last minute right before Christmas Eve!
The video was made very well. I was concerned that it would look like a voice over, but with Santa’s beard it looks absolutely genuine! The beauty of the surroundings are quite magical and my son got swept away with Santa talking to him. It is such a unique gift to give to a child and I really loved sharing the moment with my son. I would take having Santa Claus talking on his Portable North Pole console over going and standing in line for an hour any day.
This has been one of my most favorite products in our Gift Guide this year and for those of you that celebrate with Santa Claus, it’s a gift you really don’t want to miss out on!
Purchase: The Premium Personalized Video is only $3.99, but you can get a Standard Video for Free! There are also personalized Coloring Books, Letters, Certificates and even personalized Phone Calls from Santa himself!
