With all the things that have been happening in the last few weeks (like finding my first gray hairs), I’ve slacked off a bit on pushing myself towards the ‘more healthy me’ because I got in a frump. You know, those times you just feel like you are sinking pretty low on energy and you don’t want to get up and move. I feel pretty lucky that I have a 5 year old that keeps me going despite my lapses and is always reminding me of my jump rope.
I was given a Powered by Soy Protein Pack last month and Judah loves the jump rope. Today we were swinging it back and forth for him so he could jump over it. It’s a great workout and I have to admit the inner child of me really loves to try all the moves I used to do when I was young. Of course I waited until my husband and son went out for a walk because I’m oddly shy working out around my family.

I know what you’re thinking. You think they taste like icky dirt, but honestly they don’t. In fact, the Nogii Nutrition Bars taste a lot like natural fruit strips (those good-for-you fruit roll-ups) mixed with nuts! Though my personal favorite and the one I could probably eat a whole box of if it didn’t defeat the purpose of getting healthy, is the Honeycomb with Chia & Raisins Now Energy Bar. I can’t even describe that one. It is just compete goodness.
What all these have in common is that they’re ‘powered by soy protein’. Each of them help you get needed nutrients back after a long work out and soy protein helps promote muscle growth, which is what I am trying to get back to relieve lower back and nerve pain.
