Last years Spring / Summer Style introduced the Leopard Print Scarf, the Fall brought their beautiful Wraps and Winter came and bundled me in my most favorite Fairlisle Infinity Scarf. I have always loved FRAAS scarves and this timid Spring I had the opportunity to review a scarf from their new line, Mystical Coast. There scarves in this line are inspired by the deep depths of the ocean and the mysteries of the jungle. They bring in deep blues, purples, reds and some with metallic or light effects. There were two in the style that I personally reviewed, a wispy blue and a rouge. They reminded me of cool water and hot summer nights.
These Spring scarves are very light. The Mystical Coast line fabrics are various: cotton, modal, silk, viscose chiffon, acrylic, tropical weight wool. Some are solid colors while others are in complex hues: ombre’, floral, fruit, stripe, plaid, dotted, splatter-paint, animal, sea and abstract patterns. I can only imagine what some of the patterns would look like blowing in the wind. I know my own scarf caught the wind at one point and reminded me of fire.
They’re quite long. I often wear it as one would a regular scarf, but often I like to go out in the yard with my son and just drape it over my shoulders. It would even be elegant has a head scarf wrapped on the shoulders as well. It is a very fine fabric and is made for the warm Spring air, but it keeps the slight chill off the shoulders and brings color to my skin.
If you would like to purchase a FRAAS Mystical Coast scarf, you can find many in the collection on FRAAS.com or simply call 212-575-0191.
