Tot and I have been having so much fun with PomTree crafts! I honestly think they saved what would have been an awful downtime being stuck at home sick into a lot of crafting fun. Judah caught a cold this past week and so we took up making fun pictures with It’s a Boy’s Life and Playful Pets Large Sticker Tubs; plus a little Swing-a-Long Pet Playset. I have to admit that I put together the Swing-a-Long Pet Playset, mostly, but he had a ton of fun swinging the little hamsters around!
What I love about PomTree craft kits and playsets is that no glue is involved. It’s all done with stickers! So there isn’t any mess and it’s easier for little kids to help along. Tot was able to punch out all the pieces and then stick them on when we were ready.
The case was very well organized with all the pieces laid out for each individual section. The directions were simple and easy to follow for younger kids, though tots will still need help from parents and shouldn’t be around the tinier pieces regardless.
The only difficulty I had in putting together the Swing-a-Long Pet Playset is with the chairs. The directions don’t imply that you have to stretch the seat sticker a bit to fold over, so at first I was a little clueless! Though my teen told me it was obvious, so it may just be me! Regardless, they were incredibly cute when it was all done!
There are 7 PomTree 3D Playtown Creativity Kits, which include Swing-a-Long Pet Playset and:
- Sparkle Fun Playhouse
- Over the Moon Creamery
- Sunnyside Up Market
- Twinkle Top Treehouse
- Feathered Friends Post Office
- Sweet Sundae’s Icecream Truck
My tot’s favorite thing in the world (outside of spinning what he calls “the hamster carnival”) is sticking stickers all over everything. The It’s a Boy’s Life Large Sticker Tub comes with 709 pieces. It is really neat how the tub is set up! On top there are “rolls” of stickers that include regular to shiny trucks, buildings, little trees and even stoplights! Then on the bottom (in sections) are foam, felt and paper stickers of all sorts of vehicles: ambulances, two trucks, fire engines, police cars, airplanes, etc.
Needless to say, after a few hours, everything from the rugs in the house to my computer was decorated in emergency vehicles. We also have the Large Playful Pets Sticker Tub for when his best friend comes to play, since she’s a little more girly girl. What’s cute about them is that they include a roll of stickers of petstore animals and just as you can make a little city with the It’s a Boy’s Life, you could make a little petshop with Playful Pets!
There are three Large Sticker Tubs (It’s a Boy’s Life, It’s a Girl’s Life and Playful Pets) and six Small Sticker Buckets (Sweet Shoppe, Backyard Bugs, Stationary, Home Decor, Garden and Market Food). Outside of having fun with sticking them everywhere, I think they would be great for kids scrapbooks! Though PomTree does offer Sticker Storybooks for kids and they would make great stocking stuffers for the upcoming holiday!
PomTree also offers Playscape Creativity Kits with 1200 craft supplies, just in case you want to have more fun projects! All together, it is just hours of fun with your kids doing constructive creative playtime. Whether you are looking for indoor fun, homeschooling projects or gifts for the holiday, PomTree has a lot to offer for families and I’m definitely stuck on them now!
