~I received a KleenSlate Response Paddle for review. Opinions and stories are my own.~
I am always looking for fun ways to help my tot learn. It’s really important for his education and development to bridge lessons at school with what we’re doing at home. So I was really excited to try something new with KleenSlate using their Response Paddle. Judah is still working on learning to write so I tend to pre-set up the paddle for him, but it helps with answering questions when communication delays come into play.
The paddles are whiteboards with snap-in markers that have eraser caps and also a microfiber cleaning cloth that hooks onto the handle to wipe the board easily.
You can also get different KleenSleeves that you can peel and stick to the paddle, like ours, or there is a new Dynamic KleenSlate paddle where you can slide in printable KleenSleeves! These include True/False, Yes/No, Maps, Graphs, Planets, Music, Nine-Squares and more!
There are two sides to the KleenSlate paddle. One side is the blank whiteboard and the other side has lines. I made some cute photos to show you the difference!
Tot has a lot of fun with the Response Paddle. So much so, that it is really hard to get him to sit still with it or he likes to face his answers to himself rather than to me, but that is because he’s 5. It is really a wonderful tool for homeschool, however, there are package sets for classrooms! This is a great way to ask a class a question and be able to all respond at the same time! You could make it really fun like a gameshow!
There are so many ways you can have fun with KleenSlate and your classroom, your homeschool or even for healthcare. I know there are many parents out there with children that have difficulties with speech, but can understand words and/or write. The neat thing about the paddle is that it is all-inclusive with the marker and the cleaning cloth so that they can have it all with them at all times.
You can see the many ways that KleenSlate is beneficial by visiting their website. This fun and engaging product was created by a teacher as a way to save time and money on paper and also as a way of improving educational tools.
