~I received Cakes Under The Influence samples for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
I really enjoy getting together with friends and watching our favorite football team play (or in the case of this year constantly lose). We all bring food and turn it into a party. I always bring something boring that I picked up at the local store because I never really know of a creative thing that I can bring. I enjoy desserts like cupcakes and I am all for an alcohol drink and by combing those two good things that makes Cakes Under the Influence the perfect treat to bring to any party!
Cakes Under the Influence serves up a variety of cake kits for you to create cakes in martini and margarita glasses, champagne flutes, and shot glasses. The kits come with molds, papers, recipes and the yummy cake mix. All you add is your liquor(s) of choice. You can make wild desserts like Amaretto sour cocktail cake, Black Russian cake, Bellini cake, Cosmo cake or in my case Pina Colada Cocktail Cupcakes.
The directions are super easy to follow and other than the drink mixins everything is included for you. They even include the recipe for the super delicious glaze for the top. These really do have the taste of pina colada in both the cake and icing! They include a non-alcoholic version recipe as well so you can make it either way.
They not only taste moist and delicious but the offer up a super cute display at the party as well. Pop in a little umbrella and you have the ultimate party dessert. For the holidays you could always put in a festive decoration in each glass to really make it fun. Their website includes several cute ideas that I want to try.
Nothing soothes the heart of my friends and I after our beloved Gators lose than with an alcoholic dessert! I can honestly say these were eaten up almost immediately and I can’t wait to make another batch and impress my friends with my baking and food display skills. These are perfect for me as Cakes Under the Influence provide all the inspiration and the items that I need so I can make something people admire and are eager to eat.
