Pumpkin Patch time has come around again and since we had such a wonderful time at Rombachs Farm last year I wanted to make sure no other families missed out!
Rombachs Farm, located in Chesterfield, MO, was started by three brothers and has been open for over 100 years! It’s easy to see why this is one of St. Louis’s family favorites.
There is lots of free family activities. The wooden maze and fort, tractors, big tubes, live music and the pumpkin tree for starters. Or take a walk through the areas with farm animals and the haunted house.
There are also Pony Rides, Face Painting, Barrel Rides, Hay Rides and BBQ. The Hay Ride drives along the whole pumpkin farm and there are multiple rides going to keep up with everyone. The Barrel Ride was Tot’s favorite as it is basically like a miniature train ride.
There are so many pumpkins surrounding everything, even a mountain of pumpkins! Pumpkins start at $4 and go up from there. The price isn’t bad at all. We spent $20 on 4 nice sized pumpkins last year, but watch out if you want to get a HUGE pumpkin!
Rombachs also has a little market with vegetables, cider and other fall goods. I always like walking around the markets and looking for homemade canned fruits and jellies like my grandma makes. And don’t worry about bringing cash, there is an ATM on site, but they also take Visa and Mastercard.
