Taylor Joelle Designs always comes out with the cutest collections and this week they did it again with Piccadilly Plum. If you recall, the Peachy Keen Romper I reviewed previously was absolutely adorable, so I was very excited to have the opportunity to review an item from the new Piccadilly Plum Collection.
Taylor Joelle Designs is designed by Jenny and here’s a bit about the story behind the company…
I am a mother of 4 beautiful kids, and a wife to Jason (who is also part owner in Taylor Joelle). I love to read, run, and create beautiful things.
I use to be a teacher, but after having my first child, I wanted to stay home. I was anxious to do something from home, and a little obsessed with baby things, so I decided to start a brand named after my first daughter, Taylor Joelle. We started with 1 item (a crib bedding set) and steadily grew from there. I love everything about my job, it is so much for to create products that I am excited about. We strive to produce quality, boutique style, unique, items for babies and children.
I received the Piccadilly Plum Chunky Necklace from Taylor Joelle Designs. As you can see below, it is a gorgeous mix of greens, purples, and whites. The acrylic beads are the prefect size for a chunky necklace. I love that not only is there color variation, but the beads vary from round and square to a brilliant diamond shape in the center. Measuring in at about 19 inches in length, it is short enough to be used as a photo prop on a younger child, yet long enough that they still will be able to wear it when they are older and ready to accessorize their own outfits.
The first reaction from my littlest was “What is this?” She loved the texture of the necklace and although this beauty isn’t a toy, I couldn’t resist letting her explore the new item under my supervision. The beads are threaded along a wire and not just a string, so it is nice and strong. The ends of the wires are safely hidden beneath the beads and the beads are strung tight together. In the back, there is some metal chaining that leads up to the toggle clasp.
Once we finished looking over the necklace; it was time for smiles! As you can see it is a fun, vivid photo prop, but remember to keep an eye on your little ones while wearing the necklace. I also let my littlest know that the necklace was handcrafted in the USA, so you can see how happy she was about that.
The chunky necklaces from Taylor Joelle are also great for dress-up. Although my tot has just started to be interested in dress-up items, I can already imagine all the creative outfits this piece will fit in with.
At some point it will be perfect for everyday wear as well. With the wonderful variety of colors, it will match a wide assortment of clothing.
But most importantly, the chunky necklace helped cheer up our tot who has been frustrated this week with her recently broken leg. She was happy to get outside and “play” a bit as I tried to capture some decent photos.
The Piccadilly Plum Collection is full of other fun, unique clothing and accessories. There are adorable hats (including an owl one), stylish tops, flirty ruffled skirts, a pretty headband, and my favorite; the Purple Polka Dot Ruffle Tights (shown below).
Don’t worry. They didn’t forget about the boys. Taylor Joelle also makes the cutest little ties for your little guy.
Think ties are too fancy for a fun photo shoot? Let Taylor Joelle change your mind as they allow the boys to be boys in this “food fight” video.
