May has brought with it so many things: the end of school, first dental appointments, Mother’s Day, my husband’s birthday and even my teen’s first girlfriend. I’ve been rushing around like a crazy person for weeks and it seems like the only time I can really slow down is when I’m outside looking at the colors or feeding the birds. I thought I would give you a peek at what soothes me at the end of a long day. Maybe you could help me out in telling me what the flower or trees are!
Also, our little Dove family had some new additions. One of them made a nest outside our bedroom window and just recently the baby finally peeked out!
He’s pretty adorable! The Mommy bird won’t move no matter what you do. It’s actually our gate and we’ve had to open it numerous times and she will sit there with her babies, unafraid and watchful. I’m not sure I could be so calm if strange giants were moving about my home, but she at least teaches me how I need to calm down a bit.
Tot and I go to the park a lot. It’s so beautiful and green and wonderful when the weather isn’t so hot or humid. It’s always nice to see his big smile and watch him chase other little kids, hoping they’ll stop and play with him for just a few moments.
These are the lasting colors of May. Hopefully our schedule will go back to making sense soon and I can work a little more peacefully or at least have time to de-stress. Tonight the Teen and I are going off to see EPIC the movie and I’m really excited about that!
What are some ways you slow down?
