The Gift of Heritage – Pen Pal Girls Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Pen Pal Girls Logo

Sarah had recently shared a review of Emma from Pen Pal Girls and how her daughter was in love with her. They’ve become the best of friends and I can only imagine what it must feel like to be able to share something so precious with a daughter.

Our creation of PenPalGirls¬ģ (PPG) comes from my experience of moving to a foreign country, knowing little English and even less about American culture. In a land of sunny blondes, I craved for people to understand the customs and flavor of my culture. Now my own daughters and yours can have the opportunity to experience not only my Chinese heritage but also the Russian, Australian, French and many cultures of the world that enrich and define not only our lives but our souls. This is the American melting pot that we are all a part of.

As a Small Business Saturday Ambassador, I am extremely proud to share Pen Pal Girls today with all of you! There is nothing more precious than family and most small businesses have a deep understanding of that. Pen Pal Girls began with a Mother wanting to share with her daughters their heritage and how that made them unique; from then until today PPG has been a family business that has put a lot of heart into their purpose.

PPG Family

There are two dolls in the Pen Pal Girls collection, Emma and Cady. Emma is from the U.K. and Cady is from China, both dolls are 18in and come with their signature purple and black stripped heart shirt, sparkling bow shoes and a letter. The dolls clothing is universal so it can be shared with other makers clothing and vice-versa (such as American Girl and Journey Friends). You can find more information about this in their FAQ.

Pen Pal Girls

The unique thing about Pen Pal Girls is that you not only receive the doll, but you can access the Pen Pal Girls interactive section where you can follow along in the travels/stories of the dolls themselves or the real Pen Pal Girls and even write to them! There are also games and a section called FlyPPG, which allows girls to virtually travel all around the world learning interesting facts and information.

PPG Emma & Cady

Pen Pal Girls are endowed with the best of us, our mixed heritages, our love of family and the stories that come with our individual uniqueness. This holiday Pen Pal Girls is giving a wonderful gift to our readers, the opportunity to win one of their special dolls. I hope you take the time to look at their shop, appreciate where you come from and perhaps share the love of #SmallBizSat by shopping in their store.

Connect: You can follow Pen Pal Girls on their Facebook Page as well as @PenPalGirls on Twitter!
