The Night After Christmas extends the Clement C. Moore classic tale as Santa returns to the North Pole after completing his busiest night of the year. Originally written as the closing segment of a children’s variety Christmas show, it was the audience’s enthusiasm that inspired the author to adapt the story into a picture book for believers of all ages.
I had the pleasure of reviewing “The Night After Christmas” by Michael Hebler. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, I live for Christmas! I enjoy every little detail of the season! I was really happy to hear about this book. Both of my children love listening to stories so they were both very excited when I opened the package to a new book! They were very eager for me to read it to them.
I really enjoyed this book. It really makes you think that this is exactly what happens the night AFTER Christmas. It is pretty neat because most people don’t give it much thought, but as I was reading this book I really felt like I was there, living each page of this book. It is just beginning to turn cold here but as I read I felt like I was in a time machine to the day after Christmas. The detail in this book was fantastic. From the cold, blowing, whirling wind to the tree glowing with wrapping paper everywhere. I loved how it tells you what Santa and his reindeer are doing the day after Christmas because most kids probably don’t even give it much thought!
I think this book will be a great book for the holidays and can start a new tradition in our house. Everyone loves to read “T’was the Night Before Christmas”, and now we can read “The Night After Christmas” on December 26th and start another family tradition. I don’t know about you but I can’t think of a better place to be than cuddling with a blanket around a warm fire with my kids on December 26th and reading “The Night After Christmas”
“The Night After Christmas” is available in soft back on Amazon for $8.99 and digital download for most e-readers, including iTunes.
